Hannah E. Fahoome

HANNAH E. FAHOOME is an award-winning filmmaker and community organizer from Michigan. She was a 2024 Gilda Awardee presented by Kresge Arts in Detroit, and served on the selection committee for the 48-Hour Film Project, Detroit and the Arab FIlm Festival in 2024. As the director of Now Listen Here, Young Lady!! LLC., she has directed and produced dozens of film productions including narrative, experimental, music video, commercial and editorial work. 

Fahoome is a fierce advocate of community storytelling, hosting workshops and teaching guest lectures on film philosophy in her spare time. In her production work, she utilizes experimental shooting and editing techniques to push the bounds of form towards original and creative modes of storytelling. Inspired by the works of Maya Deren, she sees the camera as a powerful tool towards liberation.
